Claudio Parrinello
A theoretical physicist, trained in Italy and in the USA, Dr. Parrinello held an academic research position in England until 1999. Following this, he set up a consulting firm in the Geneva area providing cost reduction services to European companies.
In 2005 he joined CERN. Until the end of 2008, he held appointments in the Human Resources Department, with management responsibilities in the area of student and other visitor programs (1200 people per year), including EC-funded Marie Curie appointments.
In January 2009 he was appointed Head of Knowledge & Technology Tranfer.
